Just started spending money on the 04

OK I have officially given up on the thoughts of finding a bull-bar, push bar, brush guard that is going to let me keep my tow hooks, but ive heard i may lose them when I lift it anyways....
then and only then will I get one that would eliminate my tow-hooks.

I did actually order those sweet rain visors.
Now I have got to get this rigs windows tinted!!!

I hate see through glass!!!!
....... lol

Anybody have any cost effective plans for fender flares?
My mind is "bottled" you know like your mind is in a bottle...... at how expensive they are, and most look like crap!!!

How do you know for sure the Westin would block the hooks? And a body lift would either eliminate your hooks or require surgery.

NOS for teh horse powaz!!!

I want chrome rain visors... for my ext cab, I have noticed a lot of people only running the front window visors... i just can't dig it I guess.

i found those, are they the only ones that carry them in chrome? Holy cow they are expensive.
Frank

Not only are they expensive, they're cheap too. The good window visors for our trucks go inside the window channel and are secured from removal by the window. Those are the cheaply made double-sided-sticky-tape-to-the-paint-and-blow-off-at-highway-speeds deals. I would keep looking or find someone who can do the chrome plating on plastic for you at a reasonable price and get the good window channel mount ones.

Hay frank what about this one:

I have always been all about in channel visors... (however they do screw with your seal, and can mess up your window angle over time.
Stampede makes a damn good product though.... I have never had an issue out of any of their non-in-channel products.......... ever.

If the BL eliminates my hooks.... I think I will go with an Aries-bull bar..... looks the same as a westin but cost less? hmm...... it seems to have good reviews where I have read around.
Hate to lose those hooks, they are required by most local trail clubs........ CRAP!!!

I wonder if I should take my tint to the pro's or pay someobody to do it, last time I tinted a truck......... i managed to make a helluva mess (that I'm still squinting through to this day!!!!)

I appreciate all the help guys.
I have been looking for some head/tail replacements (covers... etc) my rear tail-light is scuffed!!!! it pisses me off considerably.
Frank

If you are at an event with me, keep your fender flares close........ I may wait till your taking a leak and pry them off with a screwgie.

Yes. Not sure who makes them, but I've seen them on a few Rangers. You might lose a touch of clearance with one, though.

I'll look around....

Guy I know had two sections of square tube welded to the frame behind the bumper with holes for hitch pins. The ends of his receiver were outfitted with square tube uprights. You would slide it up into the tubes attached to the frame, pop in the pins, and it would hang down just enough to clear the bumper. It was seam welded on all four sides and there was a hole in the frame he welded through into the center of the tube wall on the square tube additions. I don't know that such a setup would work for recovery from a bad mudpit or the likes (not like you could attach the receiver once stuck anyway), but it was fine for launching river boats of all sizes. He uses it to do so at his river docks and boat sales/repair business. And yes, it is a Ranger...

We run recievers on the front of some of our farm 3/4 tons...... but they are just slabs of iron arc welded to the fram, not very enticing when trying to make a clean build if ya catch my drift.
if you don't (they function, but look like total crap) lol

I think I'll be getting fender flares and tint for my birthday.... August 1st.
Any suggestions stand out on the fender flare action?
yes bushwackers-but there are 4 or 5 styles, and they all seem to be 400 bucks!!!! maybe I can just do the driver side... then work on the passenger side later (200 bucks a pop..... ahhh that sounds better)

oh, and I want a CB, for CB-tag mainly, any small units Ranger folk run?

Frank

^ There you go, Frank. That's exactly what I was talking about. Thanks, Mac!

Sweet freaking action, maybe I can get one of those sweet large mouth bass to stay on there and wiggle all the time!!!! :yahoo:
or one of those propellar ones... I bet that'd be good for a solid 12 real hp. :icon_thumby:

Frank

btw: any of you guys want photo's sometime?
nobody mentioned :D
