Just Plain Stupied

Dayamn DG - dat girl is Rockin'

When are you boltin up the fenders? No matters - she is looking oh so fine . . . .

I gots to bolt everything on from front to rear.......it's one of those weird old truck things.....kinda like installing a timimg chain n gears......only goes on one way correctly

LOL - I hears ya . . . take your time bro. Just like a fine wine - she takes time . . .

Hazmat.......why the pic be so big........i even reduce the size down to 800 in fotobuket???????

EDIT: reference to reply below......I had my computer display set for a 17" monitor......go figure.....Waaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaahaa

I had trouble with PB not resizing properly for me. ???

Are you worried at all that the chains are going to rough up the paint from clacking around while you're on the road? They do look sick though, tough choice.

yep....tough choice.....it's real old skool.....I'd put clear tubing over them to keep em new and to save the paint job.

I am thinking of doing away with them(chains) and putting some oem late model tail-gate cables on the inside of the bed (per my son-in-law) to keep the out-side if the truck uncluttered.

Gonna think about it while I'm waiting on the polished aluminum diamondplate:icon_bounceblue: for the bed floor to get here:yahoo:

Since the back half of the truck is the easiest to finish.....I'm workin on it first.

Between grieving over my son's fatal accident, my wifes serious surgery, and the meds they got me on to stay somewhat sane (Nam garbage in my head),
I'm peckin away as best I can to get it ready for Pigeon Forge in Huly.....course the interior might be bare......

I' better drag myself out there & put the door harware back on before I wear out Joe's bungie straps.......

where's that camera?????????

2nd thought.......where's the door handles!!!!?

Time to put some door hardware back on...

I put just enough screws in the upholstered panels to hold them in place......they have to come off later to put the lectric windows in.....

And yep the outside door handles are facing backwards......the pointed end of the handle oughta point to the front of the truck (OEM stuff).....

But I figure the truck will be easier to recognixzwe in a full parking lot with the handles reversed.....(I made a joke...Waaaaaahaaaaahahhahahaha)

But, uuhhhmmmm, DG, uuuhhhhmmmm I see a problem . . . . (for you that is).

You will not be able to unlock it - the key is upside down, thems keys only work with the teeth down.

:icon_twisted:

:icon_rofl:

:thefinger:

Looking totally awesome . . .:icon_cheers:

good thang you noticed that.......i'da been there all morning tryin to get into the thang...(plus it make sense.....imagine if yur top jaw teeth pointed up & the gums pointd down!)

I don't feel like removin both handles.....so i'll bring the key to Wal-Mart & get em to make a couple keys the other way......they're pretty sharp about that kind of stuff down here in louisiana.....

.Let's see.......

Plan B....the battery won't stay charged.....:icon_confused:

I may as well put the Volt gage in...might complete the '36 circuit:icon_idea:

I found the bag-o-gages......:icon_thumby:

May as well put em all in while i'm under the dash....:annoyed:

hmmmmm........round hole-----round gage.......this could be easier than I thought........:D

and all the under-dash wiring still has the labels on em:yahoo:

O.K.........let's pry our little self away from the computer!

doorgunner, youve insipired me to work on my pride and joy, no not the ranger, but my classic 1962 chevy impala ss convert my dad got for me when i was 5. we drove it 5 years ago, but it had a 307 and "powerslide" trans. well my dad wanted 1st to wind out a bit more, and got it to shift rather nicely, untill it started to slip in reverse. and ultimately killed the trans. but oh wait, "hey dad, whatcha doing with that new 350 and rebuilt th350 combo?" "nothing son, you can have it" so that began 3 years ago. me and my old man havent had the time to work on it. but i finally have enough skill to do it. so i welded up my exhaust, did the tranny mount, now finishing the drive shaft. should be good to go by 2nd week of june. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
