I told a friend about this and he said that you may have pissed somebody off. They could have done worse to the truck, thank god they didnt.

As for the air cleaner, put a bolt on it that they cant take off with their hands.

That doesnt seem like a simple breaking into....sounds like they were on a mission to vandalize the truck. People that rob vehicles dont take the time to do all of that, they like to get in and get out.

Hate to say this but its time to get an alarm on her. They struck once, they may do it again.

im getting one of the best alarm systems put in very soon.

i didnt piss anyone off. it was probably some kids who needed drug money. and wanted to go all out. i dont live in the best area. its not the first car thats been broken into of mine. plus in the same lot. they hit another 4 cars. so it wasnt just pointed at me.

im not looking to put a feather in my cap. but im very careful not to piss someone off. im a good guy and go out of my way to please people. so i know it wasnt that

If it is drug money they want, its a pawn shop they sold the stuff to. I would look around and see if your stuff ended up there. I would also mark your new stuff so that if it did happen again, you could prove that its yours.

done. they got nothing. and i photographing everything this time and documenting the model numbers so this never happens again.

at this point. im very thankful they didnt screw my engine up. someone would have died for that!!!!!!

I feel your pain....I saved up money for 5 years for a set of wheels for my vehicle....2 weeks later--no wheels!!!!

i finally put a tach in my truck. at about 70 mph (according to my gps) im turning 2200 rpm with the lock out engaged.

thats with the stock 3.45 rear and 225/70/14 tires

so i guess il spill the beans on what i bought.

new brembo front brake pads.

new rotors

new monroe shocks front and rear

new strut rod bushings

new 2 1/2 jones full boar racing mufflers (cherry bomb extreme knockoffs)

new jones 3 1/2 16'' long stainless slash cut tips

new 2 1/2 tailpipes. i need to redo mine cause they hit the axle on hard bumps.

new 1'' phenolic resin carb spacer. had a fuel boiling problem due to the extreme under hood temps.

and thats it for now. ill post pics as i install the stuff. you guys know what boxed parts look like.

ohh, i almost forgot. i got a new sunpro tach installed over the weekend. love it. and im now getting 13 mpg city. hoping for 15 after the carb spacer is in.

Fuel boiling is never good, could cause vapor lock on ya. What is the power band on the engine? Try to gear her so that she stay in that. My truck having 3.73 gears and 32 inch tires, I keep it in 3rd when I can and my mileage improved a bit.
