Just picked up a "95,some q's...

I bought a 2wd,4cyl.,5spd truck.Always maintained,new clutch,radiator,ect.....for $200-.135K on it.It needs rear spring hangers(maybe springs too!)And a left front fender.I'm looking to make a mild pre runner style truck out of it.If not beaten and i take care of it,how far can these engines go?Any mild mods you guys recomend?Thanks

Theres lots of life left!!!!!! That sounds like a good cheap find. 2 of my buddys have 2.3s one 91 4x4 with 192k an runs 33s, an the other is a 94 with 210+k an both run strong. Parts are cheap for the 2.3s an i beleave its 1 of the best ford engines. The spring hangers are cheap an is a very common prolblem. As for power maby change out the gears. Get a copy of the axle codes an go to a junk yard an match up the door codes an get lower gears like 3.73 or 4.10s. that shuld be good for like a 31in tire.

My '93 2.3L that I use as a DD has over 220K on it and still runs like a top.
