Just picked this up a couple weeks ago.

Hey nice bike! I was looking at a 250 ninja just for a toss around bike, how does it do on the highway? Fairly quick I take it? I currently have a 07 HD dyna with the 96ci engine, so its a little bigger then the 250...haha

That's an awesome deal bud. The 250's keep their value well & are supposed to be excellent track bikes. Put that Ninja against a bloated hog at the track & see who's laughing. 'Track Day".
Wonder how much that H-D cost after financing... HeHe

Awesome find dude,

They keep up their value but for some reason I still find them cheap. This one guy I know had a beat up 250 setting out in his field and when I walked up to look at it I realized that it had a full Muzzy exhaust on it. He tells me that if I want it I can have the whole bike for 200 so I pay him on the spot and load it up. I got the thing home and realized that it only has 12k on the odometer and the only things missing from it were the foot pegs and fork seals but i've already robbed the exhaust off of it and i'm thinking I might try parting it out on ebay since i've been seeing the motors sell on there in the 300 dollar range. All I really cared about was the Muzzy exhaust because I haven't been able to find them in used condition for much less than $250 so getting a whole parts bike in the deal was a bonus.

how do you guys find this shit? the only score like that I made was on a 93 saturn SL2 for $200, all it needed was a new CPS.

You need to be in the right place at the right time for some of it. Other stuff depends on your ability to search through the local classifieds and craigslist on a daily basis. Some things just fall into your lap though and it's just pure luck when that happens.

On a side note I once got a 92 Saturn SL1 (4 door) for free. This lady that my dad knew had it setting out in her front yard for 2 years because it was her husband's car and it sat there ever since he died. She asked if he knew anyone that could haul it off to the junkyard and her response to "what's wrong with it" was "I think the battery is dead!". My girlfriend drove it for over 2 years and when the fuel pump died in it I bought her another car, threw a junkyard pump in it, and gave it to my parents.
