Just cut my thumb....

pour some Dykem remover on it. It might sting just a little bit

depending on how deep the cut is u could let it bleed out, if its a nice sized gash into lets say the muscle or done to the bone, DO NOT let it bleed out lol. As for the glue, personally i've never tried it, but when i had surgery on my neck they used some type of glue to close the wound(stitched on the inside also)it seemed to work altho now i have a scar on my neck that looks like i tried to slit my throat. But once when i was younger i was reaching throw a barb wire fence to pet a horsemy parents used to have, and she jerked her head to nip some flies or somethin and i whipped my arm back and caught a barb on the top of my wrist and it sliced me clear down to the bone. I ended up holding it together with my fingers(surprizingly enough, it did not bleed for some reason) and walked back up to the house and showed my mom who instantly flipped out and ran me to the doc's and they stitched it up. Got a nice catapiller lookin scar now.

I always keep this stuff on hand, it's like a powder and it's for when you're bleeding good ....

One of my first jobs was working with a table saw in a window manufacturing place...I got careless and flicked a piece of scrap that was sitting near the blade...and nearly sliced off my finger...

The first aide nurse put that powder IN and AROUND the cut and someone drove me to get stitched up...

When the doctor saw the powder he was pissed...apparently it gums up the wound and because it required stitches he had to scrape the dried powder and blood from the cut before he could start...so I'd be careful with how that is applied...if the cut requires stitches...

Pour some salt directly into the cut, the squeeze half of a lemon or lime on top of the salt. The juice will melt the salt into smaller particles which will block the tiny veins that are letting out all of you precious blood.

lol, ill have to remember that one :D

one time i was cutting duct tape and the knife caught and then slipped making a small cut in my chest, I laughed and put the fresh cut piece of tape over the cut.

it was like you were supposed to get cut..........:shok:

:icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

just get some tape...but put some napkin, shop rag, gauze etc on it THEN rap it up.

Duct tape will not stick directly to a wound (well, at least the good quality stuff woln't, not sure about the cheap duct tape), and if applied carefully it'll work like a suture.

Mark_88, I carry the powder cuz I work construction. Although I need to renew my First Aid cert, I was certified and know that the powder isn't the best thing.... but if it's a choice between throwing that in a nasty cut or bleeding out trying to get to a hospital, I'll throw it in, lol. Worst we've had with our company was a guy who had seizures... he wouldn't take his meds cuz he couldn't take them and go to the bar. Couple times of that an the boss sent him packing. My boss was working on a job that a carpenter accidently put a 16 penny nail or two in his leg with a nailgun... had it rigged to shoot easy and bumped his leg.... my boss got to be the one that went for help (it was in the BC era... Before Cellphones).

I've always just used electrical tape. Paper towel with it if it is bleeds through. Doesn't do much for scars, but scars add character. My wife cut the tip of her finger off at the nail pretending she was a saux chef. Just put a bandaid on it. Took about an hour so stop the bleeding and BTW, neosporin just kept the wound from coagulating.
