Just bought an 84 Ranger 5.0

^will do :)
btw the tires are coming off, but the rims are staying, with some bigger meats on em, so they wont look like "tiny gay ass tires" lol

:icon_surprised: I had no idea that blackwidow was a gay-tire-aphobic.....

nuff said on that subject....

wouldn't want anybody pointing out the fact that my '36 Ranger gotts frog-eyes on the fenders (we all know what that means) :woot:

ok im uploading the pics to photo bucket so theyll be on here soon

Damn, you got a great deal! I'm sure you'll love driving it! :yahoo:

naw, im just busting. awesome truck none the less. btw, all ive got on my truck is 225/70/14s so i dont have a huge tire either. but my blazer has 31/12.5/15s:D:D

Yup I got some plans for this one
-get a 600 cfm carb
-finish wiring
-bigger tires
-replace synchros in trans
-get a posi rear
-get a bumper
-LAY SOME RUBBER :D

Just a question arent Explorer rear ends posi? I know the have the mounts an all that already on the bottom so i wont have to buy a flip kit, but i dont want to leave one-wheel peels lol

My 302 has clearance problems with the steering box

I don't like my oil relocator kit and would like to elimate the big bulky steering box so I can get rid pf the oil filter relocator kit. Any ideas?

well the good thing about a t-5, is you can prob. find a cheap one on CL cheaper than a rebuild. or swap it in rebuild the one you have then sell the used one for the price you bought it for. Also you didn't say if the PO had it running yet. or if it was a un-done project.

I guess you could find a smaller steering box, In our hotrod we tryed a Chevy Vega steering box, because its so much smaller, it fit nicely, not sure how it would fit in a ranger though...as for ur relocation kit, your pretty much stuck with it, unless you moved your engine further up, or modified the front crossmember

Yea but the bad thing is, i did some searching, and the t5 thats in it is from a 1984-5 SVO Mustang 4-cylinder, and im not sure if itll hold up to the 302. Anyone have a 4banger t-5 against a 302? The PO said before the 302, he had a 289 in it, and it held up fine
