Just a warning about FRF...

Looks like a typical hacked/infected site to me. All forums get hacked/compromised at some point, if the site is large then it's only a matter of time before someone targets you. If it was running phpBB, this would be a weekly issue! :icon_rofl:

I bet TRS has been hit a few times since they started out. Nothing to see here, same crap, different day.

i never thought he was a scammer until at work and all that stuff happened then the web guys showed me some links about the site i was on and how dumb i was to be on there.

according to the links if you 'can' read or opt to read you will see hes been called a scammer long before he tried scamming us. :)

why would you ban me? because i am showing our ranger community something that should in the end help protect them

i dont see any rules i have broken the scammer isnt even part of this forum
was not intending as a "hey man ban him!!!" more so the this is going to spiral into it ending up with someone banned as it seems to happen on occasion, depending on said Mod and their mood.:dunno:

THIS THREAD NEEDS CLOSED. frf is fixed and tom is in no way going to steal your money. have you met him? if you havent then keep your dam mouth shut and stop bashing other forums. so again before all hell breaks loose this thread shuld be closed. FRF IS FIXED. all sites have thease problems. so for the sake of everyone stfu! a saftey message doesent mean anything, it was only with certin browsers and my nortin 360 never saw anything suspisious.

Add my .02 cents and then closing this.

Sometimes the forums are targets for hackers, but another issue can be from banner advertising. Many forums running ads like google to help cover their expenses associated with the site.

I personally spent $1,298.50 in 2010 for hosting and another $188.97 for software. Just the Ranger Militia site alone cost me $302.19 to host in 2010.

I personally encountered a problem with a non-google ad network that had malware in it's ad networks. I dumped the ad code from the forum as soon as it popped up. It wasn't any fault of mine that it got in to the ad network.

The same thing could have happened to FRF. And as long as they catch it and delete the source, you can't blame them either.
