This is my 4th ranger and the oldest I have owned. 91,94, and 99 Now I have an 88. I can't figure out how to fold the jump seat. Any help would be appreciated. This is my first truck with the jump seats.

If it's like my '11 you fold the seat back down to the seat then fold to the rear wall of the cab.

If I recall correctly from the mad dash out and back to my '86, fold seat back down, then fold the bottom to the side of the truck.

Yup, back rest gets folded over first, then it flips up into the pocket.

Man, I haven't had my rear seats opened up in years. Come to think of it, I may have been the last person to ride back there.

ive always just grabbed the handle and pulled up. it all goes where its supposed to...

Mine used to work that way, but as they have aged and fallen into disuse the hinges have stiffened and they get stuck if you don't fold the back down first.
