ok, ill see what i can find out here buddy.

So i got the new U-Bolts, National Spring in El Cajon helped my out. Got them in, and eliminated the rear blocks. Truck rides better and sits a lot lower now. Still might adjust the preload on the front to lower it down a little more.

As far as running goes, its great. Still likes to get warm when i am running 80 up a hill, but as soon as i get to the summit, it cools right back down. Thinking about adding an electric pusher fan to the front of the radiator to help out a little.

Also put the old wheels and tires back on. Not a fan of the Race tires.... I am trying to find a set of used tires before i leave, but may be SOL. We will see.....

Hey rick, tires are 300 a piece, and have 95% tread. You pay for them, I'll pick them up for you and bring them back to KY with me. They are about 4 hours round trip away, so i wont be ready to go get them until around mid august, right before i come home. Just let me know buddy.

As far as Ranger updates, truck is at Coin Jar Racing in San Marcos, CA getting sliders done. No more work will be done at Loftis Motorsports, CJR is the new fab shop while im here. Jordan is working on it today, and i will be up there tonight after work. Siders are going to look bad freaking ass.... As you know, I'll post up pictures tonight when i get home.

Sweet, remind me when your ready to go get em, I might get a set before then, but I'm not sure. Thanks :icon_thumby:

I'll get some more tomorrow after they are finished and painted.

As far as other work, got the CB temporarily mounted for now, will be moving it to the headliner after Moab. Also got all the old stickers pealed, and the compressor lines ran. still need to have one fitting made, but i can get that tomorrow or monday.

Tomorrow will most likely be finishing the sliders, mounting my new cupholders, and taking the power steering bracket back off the truck. I got my new pump that i have to install Sunday.

you doing those ultimate cupholders from PP?

you know it. got 2 for the Ranger, and 2 for the 71.

details on said cupholders? i still don't have any.............lol
sliders look good. is he gonna do some supports between the square and round?

they look better that far in, but don't protect all of the curve of the body, i'm trying to figure out how i wanna redesign mine for more protection if i turn against a tree or taller rock.

damn photobucket. Paid the subscription, we're all good.

sliders are finished, plated, and painted, air setup is hooked up and working, CB is wired and working, and the power steering pump is off, bracket is off, and new pump is ready to go on. I have to do a little trimming to the bracket, but hoping to have it on tomorrow, then its time to pack the truck up. Going to top off all the fluid tuesday.

They look good, but I'd be running some gussets on top of them. Mine flexed enough that even a 1/4" gap to the tube and 3/8" of rocker left (5/8" in total) they still managed to bend enough sheet metal to rub the doors until I hammered them back down!

+2 on the gusseting...I have my passenger side done, and have a small gusset on mine, lol I just need to weld on two caps and then make the driver side. I'm making mine bolt on in case I ever need to remove them for whatever reason, but I like the way yours are done. Looking good, keep them pics coming :icon_thumby:

These pics are when i went and checked it out. I forgot to upload the ones from yesterday. The are gusseted on the bottom, simpley because it is much easier to get to, and the plate is on top. I'll post those pics tonight though

I also forgot.... I got the Siginaw pump in yesterday. NO MORE WINE!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Now i just hope i wont overheat this one and end up wedged into a notch somewhere with power steering. Again. That shit is NO fun.

As far as the Siginaw install, the Tech page is correct on everything except one detail.... If you go with the early style bracket (full circle) you have to cut a section out of the side. the pump is too big to fit within the walls of the early 4.0 bracket, so i had to cut a window in the side. Works like a charm now.
