thanks boss, I am tearing it apart tomorrow. Rebuilding it from scratch, because i burnt up one of the bearings already. (mind you, i have put almost 2k on ol D since the swap was done) Planning on taking care of all the crap with the rear end and the check engine light. Gotta smog this pig this weekend....

Ugh, smog sucks.... I can't say much for keeping mine goin, I just tore the entire front end of it last night. Goin FW, long arms etc

4.8L/NV4500/NP241, sitting on the barn floor waiting to get all bolted together.

How are the chevy leafs workin for ya, did you end up moving the hangar ahead to the other hole?

yea, i moved it forward, they work well. There is something wrong with the trans/transfer case, so there is A LOT of vibration in 1st and second. one of the bearings in the Tcase or Trans is burnt up too. Hoping that it is something easy, but i know my luck, never works out that way.

I'm doing 5.3/4L60E/Atlas 3 speed next winter.

John, no go on the bumper. Once it gets here, I still need to do some additional welding, then i still have to coat it, and install the lights. Then it will go on.

Well guys, I REALLY think my trans is shot. The top plate has been worn out for about a year, and the clutch was replaced around 155k, but now there is some SERIOUS noises coming from this thing. Im going to try and do a drain and flush, maybe its just shitty oil, but i highly doubt it. The noises this thing is making, very hard to believe its still driving.

Ya, I love my 4L, and the BW1354 aint bad.... But I'm sick of putting up with crap tranny's. I'm on my third M5OD, and this one is on it's way out as well. Great behind a 2.3L, but not made for a heavier truck and a torquier engine.

I vote getting a start on the engine swap!
