Jerky start/clutch

Hi guys I have a question for ya'll. I thought my clutch was slipping at first but now I'm a little stumped. The truck runs well, the engine was rebuilt about 40k miles ago. What happens is is when I go to start out, it's a little jerky, which is normal if you dont know how to start out with a manual, however, I do and it jerks a little bit at about 1800 rpm. Doesn't matter the gear, the engine doesnt sputter, I'm pretty positive it is not the motor. Lemme know what you guys think. Thanks

The only thing that would be consistent with engine speed, cause a jerking and not be an engine hesitation would be something on the input side of the transmission. That will always spin the same as the engine. If you’re sure it’s not an engine hesitation I guess I’d pull the trans and inspect

Could be an uneven spot on the flywheel. That will act just like a warped brake rotor.

If it is happening at 1800 RPM the clutch should be fully engaged at this time adding the fact that it happens in all gears It is unlikely a clutch or flywheel issue. This honestly sounds like an engine issue but my recommendation is to be sure there is no issues with your sensors, like the TPS for an example. There is a good guide in the "how to" section on how to test this sensor properly.

EDIT: If the clutch was slipping you will hear the RPM jump up with very little acceleration and once the you let off the throttle slightly the RPM would drop and you could feel a surge as the clutch engages properly. Are you getting this?

AS for a transmission issue??? Being manual once the the clutch is fully engaged it is a direct line of power to the axles and to the ground (all mechanical parts gears shafts ect. with no hydraulics) and I can not personally think of something that would happen at just a certain engine speed with this style transmission which makes me think that it is an engine issue. Just my opinion and food for thought. Hope it helps.
