james duff bronco II bumper on a ranger?

This is the left side of the frame rail. I thought that there might be a potential for a straight bolt up by excluding the current bumper bracket.
I guess I should have taken a pic of the right side will upload tomorrow

I've tried to do a direct bolt on. A BII bumper on a 2nd gen Ranger. It would of fit if it was sraight across, but it was angled in at the ends. A ranger is wider than a BII, so no go.

how can a ranger be wider than a BII? a BII rear axle is wider than a rangers, and a ranger tailgate can bolt onto a Bronco II with ranger hardware.

Oh sorry, your right. I must have been thinking wheel base. Any how the BII factory tube bumper that I had was not a direct bolt on.

Hey, how about just call JD up and ask them? I'm sure they'd have the answer.

Call duff, their number is on the webpage. They are very helpful.

I was considering call up but i figured that if they knew that it was a direct bolt on they would have advertised it.

I think the ranger mount is on the side and bottom of the frame whereas the B2 is just on the side. Not 100% for sure on that, I don't even know how my Ex mounts. They sell bumpers for both so they should know how to mount them.

the current bracket is mounted to the underside of the fraim rail but if you look at the pic i posted earlier there are 2 diagnally drill on the sides of the frame rail that look about the same dimensions of were the bronco II bumper brackets are located.
