I work on what breaks down, Chevys. If you think you are going to get some great deal by owning a chevy, you are sadly mistaken.
I enjoy the days I get to work on Fords.

My mechanic has always said I work on everything, but Chevy is where I make 3/4's of my money. I have never like the bowtie, it reminds way to much of Pee-Wee Herman & I will never own a Dogde either.

I'd rather push a Ford then drive a either of those two.

well after about 50000 miles he'll undiced it really quick once he starts getting the dancing gas gauge and the fuel system goes out and then he puts down 5000 dollars to fix it and it doesnt get fixed then his four wheel drive goes out and he tries to get it fixed and spens another 2000 on it and it breaks again 100 miles later and the dealership wont re-fix it cause they are cheap asses and then when you give it gas it will sputter cough and piss before it starts to accelerate .

These were just a few of the problems my dad had with his 2001 blazer with the 4.3 v6 which is without doubt the worst v6 ever made the two that we have owned suck majorly. so my dad traded it in for a 08 4cyl escape and they gave him what he owed on it and the escape is amazing

thats funny my mechanic said the same thing lol

Okay as an owner of a Ranger and a K1500... I depend on my Ford, Hence it's my DD...The Chevy is an off-road unit so when it breaks parts are cheaper for Chevy rather than Ford. Both have their good and bad points but if you look at my sig all the drivetrain mods to the Chevy were done because of catastrophic failure to the stock part... As for the Ranger my biggest expense is gas.. about $26 a week.

i have been around here long enough i dont mind saying my DD is a 94 cavalier and that thing has been through hell. i cant count how many people learned how to drive stick in it.... i pound the gears every day. it had 80k when i got it, has 155k now and has yet to leave me stranded! i did push start it for about a month tho..... i enjoy my RBVs but that car has been around since before i knew what RBVs and TTB were.

I have never owned/ driven/ repaired anything other than my Ranger, so I have nothing to comapre to in that aspect.

I am not brand loyal, and would buy a Chevy if a really good deal fell in my lap. But, I would rather buy a ford, for the most part.

As for new trucks, I think both the new dodge fullsize (2009's), and the new Chevy's (as of the last year or two) look a hell of alot better than the new Superduties (08+) or new F-150's (09's). I think the Superduties and new f-150's look like absolute hell... Just my opinion.

If I had to buy a NEW fullsize truck, I would not buy a Ford, it would be a Dodge, or possibly a chevy.

I've owned one chevy, was a camaro. I got so sick of fixing that POS literally EVERY day, the last time it died on me I (had the title in my bag) signed the sale line on the title left it and the key on the front seat and walked away from it. Left it on the side of I-10 in san berdoo.
My girlfriend has a '97 sierra 2500, it's nice to drive sometimes, but I get PISSED working on it. just my 2 cents.

I'll tell you what, as long as it takes you from point A to point B i'm sure it's not going to matter as long as it gets you there.

dont bring that GM 2.8 liter POS into the discussion, that is like bringing the old 6.9 into a torque discussion. when we are talking about quality you bring a certified turd to the table!

guys guys! were better than to just blindly hate brands.....if he wants a chevy let him hav a chevy. we choose not just ford, but ranger...and all rbvs. well built, and look what weve done with them. let him be the guy who picks brand and fails to tell the difference between name and quality. if its by comparison, id like to see some s10, or in my case a trailblazer by comparison, do what my explorer can do
