I've...been painting.


i did the same thing to my upper intake manifold.....get a sanding pad and an angle grinder and take the paint off the top, looks damn good.....here's mine

I like the paint but I recommend this or maybe do it it black, it looks too much leaving all blue.

That was a good idea on your part. I had a Pacesetter header once and the black paint came off in under a month. And it looked like shit from then on. That along with a couple other things I disliked is why I will never own anything from them again.

it actually says on a sticker right on the pace setter headers "this paint is not high temperature paint, please repaint them" or something to that effect.

yep, i scuffed mine up a bit and hit them with some gloss black high heat paint and then went over that with some high heat clear coat. then i proceeded to scratch the crap out of them when i put the motor back in.

i'd paint the bolts too, mine are already rusted completely over

high heat gloss is nowhere near resistant enough, you need the 2000 degree flat black header paint.
 
yeah it looks good... to bad i'm to lazy for all that.. lol
