I have a 92 ex 4x4 all stock that I had put a set of skyjacker 132x 2" lift springs
in March of last year. I notice my front in was starting to sag again like the stocker were doing, so I stick my head in there to see whats what and it has saged so much there only about a 1/4" between the bump stop and the bean. So my question is did I get a fubar set or have other had issues like this? So now I need a set of coils, what would be good choice and kinda low budget?

So they are just over a year old? That does seem odd. I'm going on year 6 now with my 136x's on my ranger and they are still sitting the right height.

Hmmmmmm, you bought those new or used?? I have never had an issues with any of my Skyjacker lift kits and neith has any body I know of here on any or our Rangers, Jeeps, or BII's. Very strange. Did you contact Skyjacker? They should not have any issues if you bought those new and only used them a year then something is not right!!! How about your shocks...buy those new at the same time? The rest of the suspension is in great shape and no issues???

Never heard of that happening... Very odd. Like Straycat said, contact Skyjacker, and see what they can do for you.

Good luck

Keep us posted, I was wanting to get those springs... and I got a V8. :annoyed:

these were brand new springs a year ago. you can see in the pic how close the bump stop is
and I leaned how post pics

Did you install those springs?? Those springs look older than an year old. I added a 6 inch Skyjacker lift kit on my 06 Wrangler the first month I bought it new in 06. That still look and perform as new. Something very wron there, Bro!!

Looks like new springs coated in road scum to me. :icon_confused:

You might check the beam pivot bushings, if something is worn there it may mess with you too.

It is hard to tell....the photos are so small....lol I wanted to see how they are installed...I am not sure but something just looks off for some reason. And like you said that could just be crud that has coated the springs but is it hard to tell from the small photos. I just never had any issues with Skyjacker suspension ever before and neither have any of my friends.

Yeah, this is like the first time I have ever heard of complaints about skyjacker coils - they seem to be the best quality available.

Skyjacker just has 1 spring rate they use right? Its not like he could have ended up with 2wd 4cyl ranger coils or something right? Was given the wrong part sorta thing?

I guess it is possible that you just got a bad pair, Im sure it happens - albeit rarely.

If they were bought new, I would definitely complain to someone - where you bought it from, skyjacker themselves perhaps. No point in shelling out the coin for a new set before you make a phone call or two.
