what about looking at jeep bumpers that are sold online, check the width of the bumper and then the width of your truck.. they are close i think. i found a smittybilt bumper one time that was the same width of my truck, then take it to a local welder or somewhere and have them either a) make mounts or b) weld it to the frame.

Dude... i wish it was that easy...

I'm going to be 17 on the 11th and no access to a welder. That, and i am have no experience welding past when i took it in grade 9 lol. And forget about MIG... I was just wondering if it would be possible to get someone to make a good one instead of me going thru all the trouble of finding a way and getting a crap bumper that doesn't even hold up, let alone look good. What would shipping be like? It sounds like theres no1 close to me that can make one.

If i cant get one made, i guess ill just go stock. But i'd really like to replace it while im able to because for one, i have no bumper atm anyways, and 2, i have an access of incoming cash lol. If i put on a stock bumper i will likely never get to it.

ya jeep bumper might be a good idea. for 150 his bumper would be best bet but, the shipping will prob be higher then bumper itself. specially with gas nowadays...

yeah just guess the size and weight of one, and go to your local shipper and see what it is to the builders zip code, that way you're doing the work and not the guy offering to give you a heck of a deal on a bumper!

i might look more into that bumper he offered, thats a nice price. But its chrome and doesnt look to have too great of an approach angle. Is there someone that could make me one for a half decent price?

Try talking to someone in a steel fabrication shop closer to you, theres gonna be someone who wants cash under the table. Purolator Freight isnt cheap. My bumper weight is around 140lbs, Canada post wont ship over 66lbs.

go to somewhere like 4wheelparts or some website, act like you're ordering a bumper and calculate shipping..

for a WJ ARB bumper from 4wps shipped to my house is $130 but i'm close to memphis.. now a store's shipping will be cheaper b/c they work out package deals usually.. but you'll know the low side of it.
