is there a bronco only junkyard anywhere??

D30 is a waste of money when there is better stuff out there. Yes, I know what narrowing something entails, but EB stuff = high dollar in most cases, and full size stuff is much cheaper. You might end up spending less if you just narrow one. Some of the local guys here will do it for around $100.

EBs are all low pinion also. You can find high pinion FS stuff.

Just watch the for sale forum here, or put up a thread in the "wanted to buy" forum, I'm sure you'll find somebody looking to sell one.

does anyone know if a dana 30 axle housing from a eb is the same size as the 44??

i am wondering this as well. i dont need the strength of a D44, but i wanna to a SAS swap. i think a D30 from a jeep would be just fine and probably way cheaper.

well i seen on broncograveyard that they sell a kit that converts a dana 30 to a dana 44. it looks like its just nuckles and axle shafts pretty much. but i do mild wheeling, so low pinion or even if its a dana 30 wouldnt effect me. i just figured id straight axle it instead of mess around with doin the D35 conversion.

i found a eb d44 and 9'' in chicago. im gunna go pick up both friday. so im set with the axles. ill be askin tons of questions about this swap since this is gunna be a first for me or any of my buddies, but the tech library is very helpful and from the looks of it, it looks pretty straight forward. few custom things involved. thanks for everyones help tho.
