is a 4.0 to a 5.0 swap on a 2002 ranger worth doing?

Just curious if any one has done a swap on a 2002 or newer ranger with an existing 4.0 to a 5.0? I have a 2002 4.0 4x4 4:10 gearing 5 speed auto with torsion bars that has 240,000 miles. the timing chains are needing replaced and I can swap a remanned 4.0 with a 3year unlimited mile warranty for total cost of $3,400.00 thats the labor, long block and a couple other parts. What does a typical 5.0 swap cost? nobody has ever said how much they are into it. This is also my daily driver/work truck. I can only afford to have it down for a week. no longer. I'd have to buy all the adapters and parts needed because i don't have time to fabricate parts/adapters. I'm also curious at the power difference. any info would be helpful because I need to buy, rebuild, or swap soon. Thanks.
:dunno:

No not really worth it.
The 4.0l SOHC has 207 HP, 238 torque numbers
The 5.0l (Explorer) is 215 HP and 288 torque

The 5.0l swap would actually lower the value of your truck, a rebuilt 4.0l SOHC would raise its value

The older 4.0l OHV(1990-2000) had 160 HP so was worth swapping out
