I decided to put 4 on the intake side so I never have to worry about changing them since there so hard to get at. I heard they might give off a better spark, thats probably bolony,
I believe there in all the newer vehicles now a days so it's gotta be good stuff I figure.

They are only good because they hold their gap longer in high powered ignition systems. I can't imagine any real benefit on your Ranger unless you REALLY get lazy about tune ups.

When I changed the spark plugs on the Lumina, I used AC Delco professional iridiums. They have a 100k life expectancy, and I really don't care to change the plugs (or own the car, hopefully) before then, as it is an absolute PITA! You gotta love disconnecting the front exhaust manifold, removing two of the motor mounts and having to rock the motor forward 6" just to be able to reach the rear three plugs.

Well I believe you were justified in buying those plugs then. :icon_rofl:

The irdium plugs are OEM. Use autolite or motorcraft.

I don't think I want to leave any plug in for 100k. If it is an aluminum head, it will probably be there permanently. They need to be taken out occasionally to keep them from seizing.:)shady

Yeah, it's an iron block/iron headed 90 deg. pushrod v-6, in all it's GM glory.
