i have a 4gb and a 120gb zune there work well i recomend the zune over the ipod

my brother has a zune i have an ipod the zune is really cool and i like it the only thing i don't like about it is that their is no eq i like to control my sound depending on how im listening. (car, headphones, earbuds they all need different settings and the zune doesn't allow that. and get the bigger one this is america bigger is better without fail!!!!!!

the Zune has an eg. its in the settings menu under music.

get a zune over an ipod. you will be happy you did

You also don't have to DL software like i tunes since it's already an MS product.

It's more like you don't have to download software since it's not an apple product. I've never seen any other brand of mp3 player that you couldn't drag and drop music onto and off of other than my wifes old ipod (that we sold and replaced with a creative zen). and most name brand one's I've dealt with will sync with media player out of the box.

im guessing you meant eQ and if the new one has it then great thats the one to get. i didn't know i guess they changed it my brothers is the 2nd gen and it doesn't have it.

sorry i did mean eq. i would assume they would all have it since i have the first gen with it. you wouldnt think they would get rid of something like that.

I had to download a program much like Itunes for my computer to talk to the Zune.

It is huge and really slows my ol' computer down, I tried Itunes as an alternative and it was just as bad.

IMHO the Zune pad is 100X better than the iPod wheel..
The Zune software is much better than iTunes.
The radio has really good reception for me, better than most other portable devises.

On my 30G it has a button inside of a button, way more than I would like, when I go to skip to the next song by pushing the outside ring, I also catch the inside button which pulls up a menu... that is timed and you can't get out of until it has been up for so long and goes away on its own. When it is up you can't do anything but select something in it. The newer ones have a single big pad deal though, I have never used one.

Personally I like the size of mine, makes it harder to lose and easier for my big fingers to operate. I also like the big screen.

Just like every other small radio, reception comes and goes, most radio stations are 50-60 miles away and it is sort of hilly so I don't expect much. I almost always use it in my truck anyway, and the trucks radio can pick up stations better than a handheld radio anyway.

my favorite thing about the Zune has got to be the fact that it has the wireless sync so you dont have to hook it up to your computer to sync it. and you can download songs directly from the Zune itself
