is the mazda m50d the only trans with the internal slave, and is there a bigger throw- out bearing available? also how do you test the pilot bearing

all the ranger trannys are internal.

Since around 85, all internal. For the first couple of years there were external slaves in use, but they've been gone for almost 25 years now.
