interesting encounter just now

First off it was a passenger, not the driver...

Big deal if people want to keep their rigs looking nice, I try to hold back my comments but if I see a truck that looks beat within an inch of its life I would probably be thinking the same thing.

As far as i'm concerned, you should need a special licence to drive a truck. If you don't use it as a truck...then you shouldn't be allowed to own one...PERIOD!

AMEN to that. :icon_cheers:

even with my rollbar setup in my truck which shrinks my bed space down to about 4' it hauls 100x more in it a time then a lot of ppl i see out there cause they are afraid of scratching the bed.

i royaly despise the pricks that come to my work to pick up their furniture and say stuff like "let me put a blanket down so it wont scratch the bed" or "becareful not to scratch my "truck"" god forbid a cardboard box or a sofa wraped in plastic do any damage to their trailor queen "trucks"

Sorry, i fixed it for you. I wasnt thinking right. The baby kept me up all night.

No no no, you're good. I misunderstood the OP when he said "Edge" I wasn't thinking on a Ranger with the Edge package...I was thinking of the Edge SUV.

Yep......a guy jumped my case about abusing my truck when he saw me loading fence posts in the bed of my '36.....then he stomped on off...(I guess it was a reverse case of mall-ranger????) ..:icon_rofl:

There's a few kids like that at my school. One kid traded in a '06? 7.3 PS for a '09 2500 Cummins all jacked up on 40"s. It doesn't even blow smoke, my v6 Chevy FS on 35's accelerates faster and he considers offroad to be gravel driveways. It will never get used as a truck should.

the 7.3 was phased out halfway through 2003, if I remember right.

That kid sounds like a retard, I have the most rural route at my company branch and my V6 Chevy goes down the dirt roads and gravel driveways, sometimes even my customer's yards with no problems. Even last winter with three feet of snow on the ground, it went through the unplowed roads every single day and only got stuck once. If only they'd give us Rangers, I'd be stuck ZERO times.
