Interesting Day yesterday..

sorry nice rigs u got anyways guess the search continues

Well I went and got myself a Bronco, my first one. I spent the better part of the 80's growing up riding around in my dads Bronco from 78's to 88's. MAny summers spent on the sand dunes of silver lake in Michigan. Some of my earliest memories are in those trucks.

I have always been a RBV guy (Ranger Based Vehicle Bronco II, Explorers etc...) but I just recently picked up a 87 B2 on saturday and a co-worker has been looking for something smaller to build so we made a deal and I traded it for his 96 Eddie Bronco. Its a 302 e4od. I drove it home the other night on kinda like a 24hr test drive.

It has a lifter tick in the motor (140K) needs a bunch of misc stupid things fixed. It has a salvage title. I think it was a theft recovery as the roof console is missing, center console gone, it has the wrong top on it (no shoulder strap mounts and no high mount).

FSB's are nice. I finally got to drive my friends 96 5.8L eddie bauer last weekend to the store to get him some more beer, not to shabby of a rig. I only really dig the composite light bronco's, the older ones (80-86)I don't like at all. i'd like to get ahold of one sometime soon, I have a spare solid d44 front for it. what are your plans for this one?

Something to drive on shitty winter days, something the wife could drive if need be, maybe in the summer take it out on the sand dunes.

Glad your family is safe (thank God for crumple zones), B2 looks good (better than average, in fact), buddies are buddies for good reason (like these panic times), and how much did you buy the B2? You are way too north for me, but I was simply curious.

And why didn't you just go out and get a new battery for $65? If it's a DD, a decent battery makes it reliable, no?

Battery problem developed all at once with the dead cell.

Traded $500 worth of hand tools for the B2, then took the seats out and kept them put stock seats back in and traded it for the 96 bronco.
