insurance

Comparing rates without mentioning deductibles and optional coverages (UI, car rental, etc) is pointless.

Someone with a $1000 deductible on collision is going to pay significantly less than someone with a $250 deductible.

$1000 deductible, no rental, full coverage (my gf's dad is my agent, so some other goodies like my stereo and wheels are covered too) and two tickets two my name is what my situation is...

i am 19 y/o; with state farm and paying $178/month with life insurance as well. not too bad i suppose. My friend has a few tickets under his name as well (a LITTLE more severe then mine :icon_rofl:) and he is paying almost $700/month.

I also have aig and they are the cheapest around. I pay 162 a month for my 02 ranger and the wifes 07 sport trax full coverage. Bad part is i have 500 deductible. But aig was way way cheaper than any one else.

Progressive Ins. (through an independant agency) $150.00 a month $0.00 deductible on 3 cars. '99 GMC Van (Full Coverage), '84 Chevy Truck and my '90 BII. (Both liability only) No tickets of any kind, plus my wife gets an educators discount of some sort that includes rental and a few other things.

When I was driving my Ranger my insurance was $400 a year...when I bought my 95 Suzuki it went up to $1,200 a year...and that is with $100 deductible and $1,000,000 PL&PD...

Oh, and I received a letter from my insurance company a while ago suggesting that I double my PL&PD coverage...WTF!

220 a month with three accidents two tickets for full coverage with all state 500 dollar deduct(200/500/200)i think, im 19

After reading this thread, I feel fortunate. I'm paying $131.08 a month full coverage on my four vehicles: 2003 Ranger, 2006 Odyssey, 2000 Taurus, and a 2008 Mustang Convertible. This includes 250/500 liability w/ a $500D on collision and a $250D on comprehensive. This price also includes a $1,000,000 liability umbrella as well for $255/year. This is with Erie insurance. They are a great stand-up company, unfortunately, had to find out when some whack-job plowed into my wife and sued. (the irony is that her insurance company accepted fault and paid the $5600 to repair the 2000 Odyssey we had at the time.) Even with all that going on, our rates have decreased the last three years and in the 15 years I have been insured with them, I have never been able to beat their rates.

I wish I was old and could get insurance for dirt cheap :annoyed:

man you got cheap insurance..... mine is like 150 for full coverage..... zero tickets zero accidents....

I wish I was old and could get insurance for dirt cheap :annoyed:

Hahaha....when you get old you'll wish you were young and didn't drive...because you can walk or bus everywhere there's poontang...or whatever it is you may need...when you're old you MUST drive everywhere because walking to the end to the end of a big grocery store (some of these places are freakin' HUGE) you're tired and you forgot what you came in for...:icon_twisted:

Liability only I paid 80-90 bucks a month up until I was in my thirties on anything I drove.I was your age 30 years ago (wow that makes me feel old).Anyhow, currently I'm paying 52.50 every 3 months (liability only) on the Ranger w/Ohio Casualty.
I don't think that is a terrible rate for you considering.......
