i put a 99 4.0 in my 02 ranger. i changed the motor trans and comp... i have spark and fuel but the motor wont start.. the only way i can make it run is to spray gas in the intake.. i think it is an injector pulse problem?? i changed the crank sensor plugs and wires.. im stumped.. plz help

Is there fuel pressure on the fuel rail?
That is the first thing I would do.

If there's pressure, the problem is more towards the injectors. If there isn't pressure, then it is towards the tank.

It is obviously fuel related, and not spark related, so at least you have that part narrowed down.

Get a voltmeter, pull one of your injector plugs and check that you have 12 volts DC on the red wire of the injector plug with the key on - if not, then it's probably a fuse - if it does have 12 volts, then it's something signal related to / from the PCM. The Cam position sensor provides the initial trigger pulse to the PCM to sync the injectors, but if it fails, the PCM should still fail to the limp mode.
