info on ranger stx

hey guys i have a chance to buy a 90 ranger stx ext cab 4x4 i need to know whats the differance between the reg ranger 4x4 and the stx 4x4 i hear that getting parts for the stx is a pain any help would be great.

There are STX specific parts in the front suspension, but not on your truck.

You probably have a heavier front sway bar and stiffer springs but that's it.

From mid-87 through the end of the 1989 model year there was a no cost optional factory "leveling kit" that lifted the front end by almost 2", and the factory being the factory they basically make it a half height "lift kit" to accomplish the task to maintain the proper geometry.

your truck won't have any of that unless someone added the stuff after the fact.
