In a laundry room, why it is that....

Dryer has allways been on the left for me. in my house that I just moved out of, and the apartment that I am in now.

Parents house has the dryer on the right tho.

this may be one of those existential quandaries for which there is no answer. assume the thinking man position:

Yeah but if he was sittin' on the toilet I bet he'd come up with the answer.:icon_twisted:

p.s. i wonder if its the same on the other side of the equator??? their toilets flush backwards, maybe their washer dryers are aranged backwards?? lol.
Yes, but if you live on the equator then you have to use stackable washer/dryer sets.

Its a conspiracy created by the illegitimate offspring of Joseph Smith and L Ron Hubbard after both weer were jilted by Jerry Fallwell. In order to create chaos between Xenu and Kolob, the Silent Majority are enslaved to believe clothes need to be cleaned...

But the Gerbil at Joecartoon says otherwise...

but seroiusly it doesnt make sense, my washer is on the left and my dryer is on the right but the guy i work with just said his are opposite so i guess it just depends on the space provided for the laundry room in the blueprint and the design of the units. my doors both open on the front, opposite from one another so that they arent in the way of moving clothes from the washer to the dryer. his doors are on top of the units and also open away from eachother so i guess there isnt an industry standard for washer and dryer manufacturing.

The washer dryer set in my house has doors that open a certain way. The washer is on the left so you dont have to pull all the clothes around the doors. But, Yours may be different.

I was going to mention this..my dryer door opens to the right. We just got a front load washer last week (have always had top loaders in the past), and its door opens to the left.

My house in Cali I had the washer on the right the dryer on the left. I don't know, maybe there is a code for placement these days?

Hehe, i was in a mood yesterday...
