I'm puzzled....TTB???

Armagh is about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh.

Dude.....don't put me that close to the city!! ;) I'm more like an hour or so.....mostly four lane now so it may be less. Last time I went there I got lost then pulled over for making an illegal turn coming out of a tunnel. Told the cop....tell me how'ta'git'da'ell'outta'here 'fore sumun'gits'urt!! He obliged and I've never been back!!

It was just a guess. Every time I see a new member in PA I googlemap the town to see if they are close to me.

I personally don't go any closer to the city than Cranberry Twshp, and even then only once every 5 to 10 years. Usually don't get closer than Indiana.

Indiana is about 20 minutes from here.

I lived 25 minutes south of Indiana for a year, and I wouldn't go back to any of it :icon_rofl:

BUT 8.8s have c-clips (granted the caliper CAN hold the shaft in times of crisis) I dont really have anything bad to say about my 31 spline axle...I love how EASY it is to work on.

Yea the welding requires spring pads on top of the axle and shock mounts welded on.

Im from Williamsport, PA. Where exactly are you located at OP?

Good point, I always tend to forget about that, but you'd still have to narrow the 9" and get custom shafts...you can just get this for your 8.8: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/STR-A1092

too bad the body is shot, the gen 1 is more of a classic every year! love those rims too! someday id like to graft a longbed frame/bed onto my supercab and make a supercab longbed ranger. ive got the 28 spline 8.8 and never had a problem with it, granted im not running a V8 either, but its seen plenty of hard use.

The 7.5" that's under the truck has taken plenty of abuse and is still alive. The 8.8" swap is a "maybe" while I'm revamping things from the ground up. Local parts availability is likely the determining factor.

Hey man. PA is where we go to get the nice vehicles!

Try living in NY for a while. :D

I go to MD for my stuff.....the body for my '85 351W truck came from there and that's where the body donor for my 302 4WD came from also. I know people!
