I have a 2010 Ranger with the 4.0. engine, auto transmission, and 4 wheel drive. I routinely tow my 3000 pound camper trailer in the high Sierra mountains of California. It now has 145,000 miles on it. This post is just to introduce me and my Ranger. I am 80 years old and live on the Mojave Desert in California. Later in another post. I will have questions about my 4 wheel drive feature. Primarily how to switch from 4 low back to 4 high. It seems like it takes a long time to go back to 4 high once I turn the control knob back to 4 high.

welcome!!

i have only been through the mojave one time when the army sent me. those dust storms are amazing. i grew up in riverside/corona area though

This was my very first campout with my new camper. The location was 17 miles north of Independence, California. I do have a YouTube channel. It is all about camping with the camper and the truck. Would I be able to post the link on this site?

Sure. Many of us develop a “build thread” in an appropriate forum here. That gives us a common place to post pictures, ask questions and have discussions about one particular truck and keep it all in one forum thread. You can’t post videos directly on TRS. You just link to the videos in your YouTube channel.

Build thread example;

Here is a link to my YouTube videos. The most recent video was my last camping trip. I really put the Ranger through its paces on this one. The road was the roughest I have ever had it on. There are about 85 videos on my channel. "Boonie Buster"

Subscription obtained. Welcome to TRS. Look forward to checking out your adventures.

Here is one more photo of my poor Ranger buried in snow. This photo was taken in the High Sierras when I was still using a popup camper. We did not expect this kind of weather. I was sure glad we both had a 4X4 truck when it came time to break camp and go home.
