Im In Trouble :( haha

But you have to do like the 9 tables... 9x2 and 9x4 and so on.

I get to do the surface area and volume of objects that you would never really find in the real world

:thefinger:

A big hunk of my job is computational geometry. You'll be amazed how much of this stuff you WILL use.

Example: The flight planner has to calculate intersections of flight segments with airspace boundaries. That's the intersection of two circular segments on the surface of a sphere. Get it wrong, and we all get arrested for flying into restricted airspace (like the Nevada Test Site).

Targets move in conic sections (mostly ellipses, some hyperbolas), and tracking nonmoving targets (stars) on the surface of the earth makes for cycloidal ground tracks.

You know whats sad i took geometry, trig, pre calc and calc high school and i still only sorta know what your talking about. How the hell did u get so smart.:thefinger: Makes me wish i would have paid more attention to the teacher and not the 5ft 10 tall blond w/ big boobs, long lags, low cut shirts and plaid mini skirts in front of me

Science- 39.4%
Social Studies- 52.0%
but im doing much better now in school, I should pass, and next year i will be improving

Minor work with the school. i was always told is you were smart then u were generally a bad driver, but it you were say average then a better driver you are

Man those averages have gotta come up. As for your comments about surface area and volume, it comes in handy more than you would think. Especially with vehicles. For instance you can figure out fluid volumes of say your gas tank or oil pan. Or surface areas of your bed if you want to do a roll on/spray on bedliner you will know how much material to buy. I'm in calculus now and it all seemed pretty useless in the beginning but once it makes more sense it even can help out a lot. I also did Geology last semester so yes I can tell you all you need to know about continental drift. I've talked with TrucksGetDirty and she's pretty clever, would be a good a tutor. I'd also be willing to help if the help was needed. Now get to work!

yea lil blue, im puttin off my truck now, even though my old friend was over lookin at it today, shes being abandoned now till exams..

who? the chick or the truck? :derisive:

if you are like me your probably not really listening to the "do good in school" comments, but you most likely don't see that far ahead. I didn't try hard in school and barely passed, but when i decided to go to university i had to spend a year "upgrading". not sure if its called that there, but it means doing high school courses again. Even if you don't want go to university the option is there for your whole life.

i also second the English teacher remark, i didn't learn ANYTHING until i took an introduction to writing (or somethin...) course in college. useful stuff, people will think your smart and stuff. :icon_twisted:

also, if you need help in math i could help. i'm pretty good at grade 12 math... long story.... msn : t3488g@hotmail.com

so i got home early today, and the truck AND the chick are getting abandoned lol..and thanks guys for offering the help, it might be needed, once next week comes, cause monday were getting a booklet with all our exam stuff on it,
Also, do you think i should stay after school a few days or jus talk with my trs tutors for an hour about the same stuff?:D thanks again guys and gals

Second Post!

Paying attention is school is very important. I always found that when I was struggling in something, if I put forth the effort to stay behind after school that even if i never fully grasped a concept that the instructor was a lot more forgiving when it came time for final grades. If he or she sees that you trying, they are usually more willing to help you. If you are just goofing off and not interested, they will still try to help you, but they arent going to bend over backwards. Good Luck!
