I'm puttin my 4.0 from my ranger(auto) into a early 90 B2 that I bought recently. I've got a 5 day weekend comin up and I figured what the heck. Plus my gf blew up the 2.9 in the B2. Any suggestions?

DO it , do it naow.

Any suggestions?

keep your gf as far away as possible from any vehicles you currently own. i'll also recommend a year-round bus pass as a new stocking stuffer

good luck with the engine swap

do all the research on the wiring up front... it's a pretty straight forward swap. but i had to go sit down a couple times and get away from the wiring. I have an 88 b2 with a 92 exp 4.0... you will love the gain of power over the 2.9 and i get better gas milage

She's driving my tan B2 right now, hence the urgency of getting the other B2 fixed. Tan is holdin up fine, he's next in line for a 4.0. That 2.9 is holdin up pretty good tho.

Update: Got 2.9 out, got 4.0 out. Will I need the power block from my 94 or can I use the one in my 90? My 94 is a 2wd ranger, and my 90 B2 is a early 90 w the D28 and 1350 t case. I'm just wondering how this will effect my 4wd in my B2. I have a manual t case and manual; hubs to put on it if I need to. Just wondering ? Tech library wasn't to specific and I haven't picked up on it anywahere else. I guess this is why everyone suggests using a explorer.

:annoyed:AARGH!!! Plug and play my a$$.

This is a PITA. Will I be able to keep my elec T case since my donor is a 2 wd ranger?
Where is the relay for the tcase on my B2?
What about my power windows? :dunno:
