ignition help please

ok so the keyd igniton on my steerring collum locked up n wont alow me to start my truck whats the bets cost effective way to fix buy a whole new collum with a key or is gona be replacing it cause it looks like to much work , any help would be apreciated ty

Did you try turning the steering wheel as you start it , sometimes just turn it to the left or right and it will unlock.

yes i did think im gona try to take it apart if i cant fix it or find a whole collum i ma just put a push button on it
