I have a 93' 2.3l 5sp 2wd non ac ranger. Im going to try a electric fan. I just got a tarus electric fan and all the things that go with it. Does any body know were i can splice into the best and easyest ignition controled wire under the hood? Non coil wire prefered. Im going to mount the relay by the battery. Im not very good with wires so location and color would be great. A pic would be even better. If thats not asking to mutch.

I think you want to locate a red wire with light green stripe.
That should be the ignition wire. as for an easy access point your guess is as good as mine LOL!

EDIT: edited my post to change light blue to light green.

just go and spend the $20 for a universal fan relay kit from autozone. it has a relay so no problems melting wires, an extra wire you can run to a toggle swith or your ac so that they will turn on then too, and a temp probe and everything

I got the imperial kit from advance. PN# 226204. Red to hot (battery). Yellow to ignition controled wire. So the fan shuts off when the key is off. No ac. I can drill a hole thru the dash but im trying to avoid that.

it appears that you are looking for a red wire with a light green stripe

can be found exiting the firewall in that huge harness, can be found entering the ignition coil too, and in a few other places

Thanks for the pic. Ill give it a try this weekend. I built a full size blazer one time. More of a off road only. Went from efi to carberated. Turned into daily driver for awile. The frount of the councle was full of toggle switches for pritty mutch every thing. LOL I think that was one of the dumest things I ever did. Go for a switch and hit a bump or catch air and flop three the wroung way. Then see what happens. After i fried the starter and ring gear. I moved that one to tucked away on the dash.

Sheash.... Looked at the wrong drawing for you guy. Sorry. It is indeed the red with light green stripe you want as stated above. I double checked the year versus engine size and All data pro has the same schematic and color coded wire.
