Idle runs high on 2.9L

I think someone had this problem on the other forum awhile back. Sometimes for no reason at all (engine is hot) the engine idle will start running higher around 2k rpm. After awhile it will drop back down to normal and run fine. I read only code 11 at the time. If it was running high at one point, I would shut of the engine and start it again and it would be fine. Other than that the engine runs good. Any help to point me in the right direction. Thanks 2.9L 89

I fought that on my 87 for almost a year, I finally narrowed it down to the ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor, after changing that no more problems.
