idle problems

i have a problem with my idle when it gets warmed up and then i hit a stop light or just stop for a while the rpm's will out of no where drop really low but not stall and then go back to normal and it only does it about every 2-3 minutes. please help i dont know if its something major or something small. i went down to auto zone and got them to pull codes and there were none. btw my ranger is a 98 2.5L

My 98 did this and the MAF was bad. Try cleaning it with contact cleaner to see if it makes a difference.

well i forgot to add that my truck only has 54k miles

try cleaning the IAC too. They get gummed up sometimes.
