That's super clean.

Since you have a work truck thing goin on. Mud flaps? Work lights on the headache rack? Brush guard? Cab visor?

Some nice wood stake sides for the flat bed... stained a light weathered gray.

@Nick Noble
I would make every effort to improve it'$ fuel economy.

Gas mileage improvements are the best

@superj
Hailz to the yeahz on improved fuel economy/efficiency!!

I like Senornoob's ideas. But, really. It's great the way it is. Drive it and enjoy it.

That's probably about the best you can hope for with a 92 4.0 and flatbed.

@Nick Noble
#1 with a bullet, lose the crankshaft driven fan/clutch for an electric fan; no single change I've ever incorporated into a Ford OHV 2.9l or 4.0l improved fuel economy more

#2 match your tire size to your axle ratio for highway speeds in the maximum torque RPM RANGE

#3 perform a complete tune-up

#4 adapt different/new/conservative driving style

That truck is SHARP, very. I’ve said before that trucks are masculine items, and they should reflect that they’re built for work and to be tough. Having said that, there’s nothing sexier than a lady who drives a pickup, as long as she can handle it!

If you look at my stuff, I’m a fool for the extra lights and traffic advisor bars (some places require a some places require a permit) and horns, CB radios and who knows what. There’s a lot that’s available these days.

The truck and frame were NOT modified, except for removing the big cross brace in the back. I replaced that with five or six smaller braces on the top of the C frame, and on the bottom of the C frame to make room for the “5th wheel” assembly. The third (3500# trailer) axle “floats.” The hitch assembly “5th wheel” pivots in the front, the leaf springs pivot in the front, and they are connected in the rear with shackles. I can back over a curb to the point where the wheels touch the fender and not lose traction on the drive axle.

Finally, I put vintage top of the line CB radios above the rearview mirror in both of them, and fabricated a switch panel above the radio to control all the gizmos.

And don’t forget Scary Baby or your demon of choice wired into the brake lights
