Take a XLT ranger frame, nice little 302, a couple mid-30s cabs, combine them to extend them out and make a 4 door crew cab. Any thoughts?

Doorgunner did a 36 ext cab on a 89 frame. check out his thread in rbv's metamorphisis

That'd look GREAT......I didn't have the fab skill....so I bought an aftermarket x-tra cab for a mere $Arm/2 legs.......It was a ton of fun doing the build (which i'm st-i-i-i-ll doing)......and i only took about 12 pounds of Advil during the RE-modifications....

We-l-l-l-l-l...........it was the Advil that got the work did.....it was the V.A. drugs that made it take 2 years & counting...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhahahhahahhahahahahahaaaahahhahahaaaaaaaaaaa.......weeeeeeeze..............waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhahahhahahhahahahahahahahahhahahaaaaaaaaaa......gasp..........dizzy--real dizzy.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahhahaahhahhahaaaaa....:icon_bounceblue:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh.....i remember what i was gonna say......take pics of everything......usually (well--in my case) the project started before i knew it (started)

I would go with a flathead V-8 rather than a 302, I think it would add to the '30's theme.
