Iacocca dead at 94

I owned a pinto. I'm never forgiving that man...

Forgot he had a hand in the Pinto...

Iacocca dead at 94

If the pinto came with a 2.9 it would have been on fire before it left the assembly line...

I'm not that upset about this.

I hate most of the things he was responsible for, like Mustangs, Mini-vans, K-cars, Chrysler not going under in the 80s.

The one truly great idea he did have never came to fruition. One of the last things he did before leaving Ford for Chrysler was to pitch an idea for a small van, something about the size of an Aerostar, but the 460 would have been an engine option.

He also had a hand in the Escort, from what I heard on the radio this morning. Those Escorts weren't bad little cars. My dad and step mother had four of them (a 1986 (first generation), a 1987 (second generation) a 1992 (second generation) and a 1994 (second generation. They were economical, somewhat comfortable, and easy to drive (I drove all four of them), and practical (except for mom's '92 sedan). And, they looked good.

? absolutely love mine.

They weren't bad little cars. A girl I dated right after high school had a few of them. They were super cheap to replace when they broke down or died, or she wrecked one, which was about every six months. Always another one that nobody wanted out there that I could pick up for $100.
