I thought some of the people that called my store were crazy

I really love the "how much for a 4 Wheeler battery?"
I ask what kind and get "Aint they all about the same?"

Yep.....I carry 1 battery that fits every motorcycle,3 Wheeler and 4 Wheeler made,I just keep the other 50 boxes around for looks.

luckily, i just got a call back from just tires and they have offered me a job, i can finally get from under the claw of autozone and not have to deal with people that are mentally challenged.

LOL these are great....
I used to work at Home Depot and i'd get lots of crazy questions and requests....
i used to work in the doors/windows and i would get A LOT of people coming in to look at windows. i would ask them what size and type (wood or metal). response "just normal ones", "they're average" or "standard ones".... then i'd tell them there isn't really a "standard" but there's a few common sizes. then they would tell me that their house was built by so and so or it was located in such and such neighborhood; like that's going to help me narrow down the size
Then I worked for Alltel a few years ago doing tech support and i heard all kinds of crazy things. Like their cell phone doesn't have a connection to a satellite, i would tell them it doesn't use satellites and they would argue with me.
The best, was when someone would call in on the phone that they are having problems with. for example, their new phone wouldn't call anyone except Alltel, i probably needs to be programmed. This can't be done while they're on the phone because there's a series of buttons that usually have to be pressed to get in to the correct menu. So i would ask the caller if there is another line i can reach them on, some would argue with me about it and ask why they need to be on another line. i would try to explain why we cannot program the phone they are talking on and they just didn't get it. So i would get fed up with stupidity and ask them to write down the programming instructions and try it while we're on the phone....i would tell them something like "press MENU, 1,2,3,4, MENU, then the RED END BUTTON". They would say, "OK, hold on"...you could hear, beep, beep, beep, beep....silence. LOL. loved doing that.

Try doing heating and air conditioning work. Then you will have some crazy people call and as unbelievable questions.

yea well i was working today in an apt complex's flowerbeds. i was pullin weeds on this one building and was like a foot from the 1st floors window. this old fawker was butt naked with his hands on his hips just fawkn staring at me. i was like man are u seriously doing that. so i called jose over and told him to finish up for me and i was watchin to see his reaction(because the guy was still there), jose was like man wtf and started sayin shit in spanish. he was pretty pissed at me, but man crazy fawks are everywhere. dunno y this thread made me think of it...id rather not

since we talkin about stupid people theres a guy that works for us that is so fawkn dumb. like hurts me to watch him stupid u can tell him anything and believe it. told him one day we were doin so good they decided to pay time and a half for the rest of the week. it was only tuesday. he got his check and told my boss "i thought we were gettin time and a half", my boss laughed, didnt know i was messin with him :icon_rofl:

Working in the military we have some good ones too being in motor transport. Messing with the new guys is the best like hey this 7 ton is low on blinker fluid go to maintenance and get some. Also theres the canvas stretcher lol had one guy roaming around maintenance for like two hours asking everyone and they kept sending him to someone else lol.

Heres Your Sign Award

I just get such a kick out of the lack of knowledge of some of the most basic aspects in life, This is my story -

I spent 3 years in Las Vegas, I was working at The Home Depot, I worked in the Electrical Dept., it was coming up to the holidays (Dec), and I had a very nice attractive lady ask me for some help. I told her I would be glad to and whats the situation and what do you need ?
She tells me that so and so family member strung light over there and so and so started over there and since now they didnt reach, instead of pulling lights and starting over, the male ends were fartherest apart, so she wanted the easiest option and since the light strings were strung as they were, she wanted to know where she could find an extension cord with a male plug at each end. Now I couldnt dare make fun of her. She was too nice looking and all, but in my mind I was thinking - well you can imagine,,,,, lmao. I politely told her I didnt think anyone would want that sort of liability, example, If she was to go home and plug in her cord and lets say a 1 yr baby decides to grab hold of the other end of the cord that would have a male end also. :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:
