I've been looking at the tracks web sites that are around me and they seem to have more for the micro rc's than the 1/10 scales now. All I can think is that they must be very popular. I've only raced 1/10 scale and would prefer to stay in that class but I may not have much of a choice if I want to compition race again.

The track by my GF's house only does modified racing, like the traxxas mud boss or whatever they are calling it now, so it's not offroad racing that I'm used to. The one that is in Connecticut near me does off road racing but the mirco series.

Either way I need to go to different state to get to the closest track to me.

10th scale short course/buggies and 18th scale stadium trucks/buggies are the most popular classes at the indoor track that's in between my house and work. I don't belive I have an outdoor track within a reasonable distance.. which is a real bummer.

Their track is pretty good size.. as the building they're in has a pretty sizable footprint (track is in their basement)... but damn.. outdoor tracks are usually HUGE! and there's just so much more cool stuff to be done with dirt.. rather than flat carpet and plywood jumps -__-

I have beat the ever living snot out of my brushless Rustler that I have under $200 in including lipo batteries, brushless motor/speed control and paddle tires... the dumb thing has spent countless minutes doing cartwheels, I've broke very little, I put on RPM A arms and bumper and stuff, a month ago I was going over a monster truck jump in the dark where it landed upside down more often than upright (couldn't see) and the only issue is I lost an upper control arm screw into the bulkhead... new screw, good to go! The dumb thing will do wheelies in dry sand with paddles. Going to the sand again next weekend, we'll give it another go!

RPM plastics seem to flex alot preventing breaks. Very handy in crashes for sure. The only downfall to soft plastics like that is in a competition setting where they flex and over time can deform throwing your set up out of whack. For normal everyday running / bashing they seem to have the best track record.

Yeah, not sure I have the patience for racing and accuracy, don't have the time to run consistently enough to be good at anything RC anymore annoyingly... I used to fly a lot, at one time I was good enough I could inverted figure 8's with a stupid rubber band wing (with a bunch of dihedral mind you) 3 channel thing I found in a free pile that I put a brushless motor on and I'm pretty sure I was able to do them at like 50' or less altitude... one day I'll get back into that...

Tires came in yesterday and i think they look awesome on the old Ford F150.

Skid plates came but found that the center skid is a little small for the High Trail. I may bend the end so it sits flat and call it good but all other skids fit.

The Brass weights came in and still waiting on the proper grease to install those.
