I can see how that would be an issue.
The 4 studs that thread into my upper intake that hold on the EGR spacer and the throttle body appear to be SAE also. Something else odd, it seems Ford sometimes has their own size tools to use when assembling stuff. I can try several sizes of SAE and metric sockets on certain bolts and none of them really fit tight.Well I just found some bolts that go against that rule I mentioned. The upper intake on an Explorer still uses SAE to mount to the lower. Good luck with that build, enjoy.
