I Have a 94 ranger with Automatic trans Well I need a trans rebuilt but i found a used great condition low miles Trans A4LD out of a 93 mustang 4cly
I have the trans and I have compaired them and they look Identicle but the shifter lever is diffrent on the trans , its for a floor shifter, My ranger trans is for a colum, How do I remove the Shifter lever on the trans , so I can swap out and still use my colum, I thought about finding a floor shifter and install in the floor of my ranger but not sure wich i should do , please any one with advice please comment asp! looking to get truck back on road soon

Is the 94 ranger a 2.3l also? if its 2.9 or 4.0 the bell housing is different.

its a 2.3 and the bell housing is the same, I have the trans both of them side by side the only diffrence is the shifter mine out of the truck is for a colum and the other is for a floor, so i need to know what to do to switch that
