I need help on a part!

Did you try it by the part #? (BK 6051182)

If nothing else you have the part number for another store to cross.

The rock auto part looks like it might be the front one, note the holes are thru holes with no threads. For as long as I fought that thing it is kind of sad I don't remember if it was a 90 angle or not though.

I guess i can call a couple more places...

Whats the part # for i tried searching it at rock auto and napa and nothing came up?

The gasket i only found at carquest as well. No other chain even knew what i was talking about. They kept coming out with the plain oval gasket. Good luck finding the rear y-shaped housing. I would just put a new gasket on it and drill the remaining threads out and put longer bolts with locknuts. Its a pain in the ass to get to on the 2.8's. My suggestion is to pull both the power steering pump and A/C to get access to it. I have done it a couple times myself. All it is doing is squeezing the front cover and the back Y-shaped cover onto the housing anyway. Should be able to make it work with the longer bolts. I would definately recommend locknuts though as it is a pain to get to.

Here is a link to a pdf file that shows the both the front and back cover and how to remove and reinstall.

That is the part number from the link I posted earlier.

I think Napa's search thing only works for keywords, it won't pull anything up with a part number.

The only reason I went to Carquest was there is a guy there that can dig up about anything and is great for freaky stuff like this. Some other stores in town are great at saying they can get it, and two days later when they get it in, it is the wrong thing... then it is another two days to see if they did any better the second or third time.

I cant identify this part on my 83 ranger please help

I took out my T-Stat housing and realized there was not one in there... Yes i know but its not my fault... i thank the previous owner :flipoff:

Behind the Tstat housing theres another tube hookup to where the tstat housing screws in... when i unscrewed the 3 bolts the tstat housing fell down as well as this back part which also has a tube hookup.... i cant find it online at all and i need a new one because the prev owner stripped the 3 holes... again i know a true smart one...

If i made sense at all and any of you know what part im talking about please help me i need to pick this part up tomorrow.

the numbers i was able to get off the backpiece is
83tf-9k457-ea

Please help
I have the exact same problem same part number. I've been searching for a month can't find one. My truck is useless n junk without it, good luck. If u find one please let me know

Hopefully someone has an answer for you. I doubt the OP (Original Poster) will since this thread went dead in 2009.

2009, wow what a great time to be alive.

My truck was still under warranty, we only had some swine flu and not a raging death plague, twitter was just a random weird website and not the formal means of communication of the government, Sully landed a plane in the Hudson river, all of us time travlers had a party with Stephen Hawking.

Dang I miss 2009...

In 2009, I was still "un-retired", don't miss those long days of viscious backstabbing office politics.
Everything else I pretty much agree with; the world of 2020~2021 has become a truely weird place.
So I'll continue life hiding in this cave like a pre-historic hermit, until things get noticably better.

2009 was a pretty good year for me. I still had the 2001 CR-V. Made a trip to the Florida Keys and back with members of the HondaSUV forum. I was freshly, happily divorced. The only real down side was I was back in the Middle East again towards the end of the year.

I was 21 in 2009 and freshly laid off from my job that became my career some months later. I don't remember any of it.
