I need a new mechanic!

Ok now

Finally!!! I took the IAC off and cleaned it with my $10 can of cleaner and started the ole rust bucket and it idles perfect. Anyone with idle probs should do that first. Took maybe 10 minutes. Thanks Guys for all your help!

You gotta repair that manifold leak! That leak has exhaust coming out of it on the exhaust stroke and then it has AIR going back inside during the rest of the time. That air can burn a valve! The extra air makes a really HOT fire at the exhaust valve.
If I could SEE the crack I'd WELD it in place and see what happens. But fix it you must.

Well......too late RustedRanger. I just got done JB'ing it. I read on the pkg that it withstands up to 600 degrees so I thought it would work. I'll just have to see. Says it takes up to 15 hrs to completely dry so I'll wait till tomorrow to fire it up. I'll keep ya posted on how well the JB does. If it burns off...I dunno. It is very accessible, so I may have someone to weld a line.

They better be a badass welder to weld on some cast iron that rusty. I'm with you though whatever works is good enough!
