tried to watch ... couldn't ... I cannot believe what our soldiers give up to give us our freedom and safety ... too much emotion, and I need to be able to see to drive to my relatively safe career ... thanks to all our guardians in the armed forces

I had a Plt Sgt at 3rd MP company in Wuerzburg Germany that had this in our Platoon Office. Most Americans seem to forget this......

Let's not forget our vets who served in Vietnam...they are the ones that were spat on and had rocks thrown at them and had red paint splattered on them when we came back from 'Nam by the 'protected protesters' who would not have had any freedom if it were not for them. Yea, America...we can forgive but we can't forget.

This really hits home for me in 2 different areas, 1. I have been in their shoes and know what is like coming home after a deployment and 2. It brings back bad memories of what I went through shortly after I got back as well.

I try to forget the bad one.

those always hit close to home since i have a close friend that is serving in afghanistan, a close friend that served in afghanistan, and an uncle that served in the military (works at the pentagon now and worked there on 9/11 in the wing that was hit) and my brother was medically discharged from the marines (never made it over seas thankfully) my grandpa served in the national gaurd.

My friend is suppose to be on leave in december or january, I have taken out a loan and set aside the money to make the 1100mile round trip to suprise him. just hope i have reliable enough vehicle to go.

And if i was physically fit enough i would have joined the Air Force.

God Bless those who can and do serve and give everything for there country.
