I Hate Theives!!!!!

Reno, all i have to say is your a tougher man than i could ever be,
and i hope things get better for you and your family.
and to all others in a shitty chain of events, read above

im fortunate enough to live in a place where i have 2 trucks and a jeep in the driveway, all dorrs unlocked keys in them and never have been even looked at
the only time i regertted my father leaving his keys in his truck is when a kid i know(despise) was looking in his truck outside of a pizza place in town

all i can say about is hell never mess with that truck again, when ur high off your ass and get glare off the blade of a knife, ull never forget who not to mess with.
the best part is i was 14, my dad dint know about the kid until we pulled away
so i feel the same

Sucks that you got them stolen.

Its sad but these days you gotta make an effort to make your stuff harder to steal than the next guy. A tiny chain holding those rims together woulda stopped them from getting jacked because it would have required a bolt cutter and thats too much effort for a lazy **** of a thief.

I recently got a bad@ss Weber grill. First, thing I did before I fired it up was put two concrete anchors in the patio and attached the grill to them with some big-ole chain. By no means is it unstealable but it makes it take longer which is usually all it takes to keep your property yours.

Thou shalt not steal, if thou shalt steal, thou life shalt be taken by a 22.

(And thy American History X, is only good at the beginning.)- later on it gets gay.

a .22??? You want to stop someone not make them suffer for hours on end before they die.

I Have no problem putting a bullet in you if need be. .22cal can cause problems, but if suffering is what you want, .45 to the lower belly does wonders.

Now for the big news!!!!
I FOUND MY RIMS!!!!!!!
It was the idiot I thought. He sold them to a kid at the local scrap yard, I tried to reason with the kid to either give up the rims, give me the original rims he had on his truck, or pay me. His boss butted in and said that the kid had paid for those rims and I can not touch them. I simply told them ok, see you later. I went home, phoned the sheriff, explained to him what had happened, how the kid told me he bought them from the guy with a boil on his head, and he kind of figured that they were stolen. This idiot guy left his name and number on my door one day because he picks up scrap metal,I kept that paper and gave it to the police. Now, this is what is happening, the kid will have to remove the rims, give them to the sheriff, the sheriffs dept. will hold the rims until the investigation is over (all the stories are checked out), then I should receive a call to come pick them up. There was another Deputy interviewing the kid at the same time and he was spilling his guts. The sheriff is locating this "Doug" (the boil head guy) now, he will have to explain how he was able to get 4 polished Aluminum 5 star rims to them (the sheriff's).
Karma is great!!!!

good to hear that reno, i hope it all works out well for you.

A friend of mine has a wrangler. Some jackass at school slashed the plastic windows open to get the stereo out. Why do the damage when the guy could have unzipped the window?
On the lighter side we used to take and hide his doors all the time just to mess with him.

Gotta watch those junkers, some of them are not afraid at all to help themselves to whatever they can find. I have heard many stories of farmers having one come out to their farm to cut up some piece of junk, and other stuff turns up missing too, like cast iron weights.

Well now I know for a fact that he is the one that stole them, better believe I will watch for him. Just might set him up to put an end to his newly found profession (but I seriously doubt I will, trying to change my ways and teach my kids to do the right thing). Like I always said, there is no smart criminals, and my father once told me "Son,if a crook would work as hard at an honest job as he does stealing,he would be top man on the totem pole in a week. Think about it son,I can tell one or two thieves I will pay them $100 if they steal a (insert item here...anything) if they have it to me by tomorrow morning, and they would have it,but if I hire them as honest employees it would take them a week and cost me triple that. Now if they were honest employees and worked as hard as they do stealing, I would profit, they would get a raise and promotion quickly".
I have lived by that motto ever since, work hard, make myself as valuable to my employer as possible, and reap the rewards in the end.

Great to hear you found those rims. I worked in loss prevention for a large consumer electronics company and it was the thieves that caused me the most headaches. It was a real shame too, because as you said above if they worked as hard at being honest as they did at stealing they would have been great employees. I could never understand why people would throw away their own good name over 300-5000 dollars worth of stuff. Shows pretty low self worth in my (warped) mind.

Well the deputies want to take their sweet little time on this. Those rims were supposed to be confiscated and entered in as evidence. They have yet to do that. So I had a talk with the Sheriff himself today, I had a very quick response. So let's see how much longer this takes.

Update Again (Arrgghhh), OK, a detective is working on this now, and with all the time that has passed, what I figured has happened. The kid changed his story to he bought the rims from the scrap yard for $96, and the scrap yard cannot produce a ticket on the rims being dropped there (hmmmm). Now who in their right mind will buy Aluminum Rims that were scrapped? The possibility of them being something wrong with them are there.
That kid told me (and my boys were there and heard him) that he did buy them from the guy right off his truck, the guy said he had a set of rims off of a ranger and seeing as he has a ranger they would fit. If they were scrapped, and the guy just left without saying anything, how would that kid know that those rims would fit perfectly? There are a lot of rims there that were scrapped and he could not tell what any of them would it or possibly fit.
I am getting so aggrivated over this, I know if I went and just took those rims myself, Johnny Law would be at my home in an Hour or less ready to arrest me with hardly any questions asked. It is starting to look like I will have to pay that kid for the rims to them back, but where is the Justice in that? He bought stolen property, that is why you should deal with reputal dealers (junk yards is your best bet for a good price).

I just hope for once in my life something good happens out of this.
Later,
-=Reno=-
