i hate liers on craigslist.

ya i hate this stuff myself, i drove a hour up the canyon to the middle of nowhere to this guys ranch that said he and 2 complete 89 bIIs he was parting out said manuall tcase with automatics and such, so i get up there and he has 2 88s automatic trans electric tcases man was i pissed at that waste of a drive and it was when gas hit just over $5 out here

Good luck...

I've had good luck with craigslist, you have to ask for pictures and if you can't get them, you have to ask for a detailed description of the items, model, part #, age and so on.
I've never driven to a point of sale and been disappointed, usually I can get the items for less than their asking.

You can never ask too many questions...:icon_thumby:

well i have been great on some deals on craigslist and fleabay. but i hate it when someone says they have a nice dodge intrepid with autostick and while you are you are driving it smells of burning oil and cel light is flashing and there is play in the steering. but hey at least you can test drive the car

Yeah, craigslist is a lot messier than eBay because it's much less regulated. You can find better deals on craigsist because of negotiating room, but there's also usually zero liability.

I got both my trucks on craigslist, and my Ranger has been doing well. It's local, so usually less competition on craigslist. Of course, that invites the scam artists to work every other posting....

I bought my Jetta on Craigslist.

I looked at several other cars at the time.

My favorite was the $3000 2002 Corolla in "perfect condition" that consisted of several dozen hammer hits on the body, a broken off drivers' side mirror, a cracked windshield, an engine that idled as though it were on three cylinders, a check engine light, and a mysterious rotating clunk in the drivetrain bad enough that I refused to take it onto the highway.

And I drove nearly 100 miles for that.

I hate the ones that say they "Love you long time" but you get there and they want paid for it. :D

j/k, big Craig's List prostitution bust here last week.
