woohoo, i finally got a real job. well since FEB of 09, i been running my own construction company and applying to REAL jobs when and where i could. i started rebuilding the engine in my b2 last year and i would go into the autozone right around the corner from my house. once i went in and noticed they had a now hiring sign, so i applied and 8 months later, I HAVE A JOB!!!!!!! swweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttt. it figures tho, now that i have bought almost every single part/piece i need to finish my engine, i get a job. seriously, all i need is a muffler and i can throw the old 2.9 back in......oh welll, glad i can finally go to a real job everyday.

congrats on the job...but sucky for the discount....i work for a place called vip auto.. new England's largest privately owned tires, parts, and service blah blah blah....any who we get a 20% discount on every thing

thats weird about the autozone discount thing. i never heard of that. i used to be a store manager there too. all you have is this discount card and you scan it when youre at the register and get 20 percent off. They dont like it, but i used to hook up all my friends lol and now i get hooked up and i dont even work there, but, i buy most of my parts from myself anyway(autopart international) cuz i get them at store cost.

a discount card would be nice, i dont really have too many friends that do their own auto work. but my brother has a jeep cherokee and of course it breaks down every other week, so i wanted to help him out.

Similar to best buy, discount can only be used for you, your parents, your spouse and in laws. They are in business to make money, not give a discount to everyone you know. With best buy, it is easier to get around. I guess with autozone, you could get around it if a friend has the same car as you (unless you have to hand over a VIN #)

yeah, benefits start after 30 days, 401k after a year. no kids and my wife has insurance through her work

Having a job sucks though, doesn't it? Gotta get up in the morning, and go to work, spend all day there, blah blah blah.... at least you get a pay check though.
