I am putting a 4.0 into a kitcar. The old motor mounts were trash, so I got new ones. They are a separate number for left and right and well marked. My problem is are they talking right and left from standing in front of the engine, or sitting in the drivers seat?

Left side = Driver side
Right side = Passenger side

It's when you're sitting in the driver's seat

With anything on a vehicle the left side is the diver's side and the right is the passenger's side. At least it is that way in the US. View it as if you are sitting in the car and looking forward.
